BURY have dismissed a £200,000 bid for striker Jon Newby from Second Division rivals Blackpool.
The Seasiders, who have money to burn following the £1.75m sale of Brett Ormerod to Southampton, are the second club to try and sign the former Liverpool reserve after Oldham Athletic made a similar offer in October.
