A CONCERNED resident has warned of a ploy by possible car hijackers to trap unsuspecting motorists.
The man, who did not want to be named, said he watched as three masked men placed a bicycle in the middle of Higher Lane in Whitefield on Saturday night (Dec 22).
He said: "It was done either to cause an accident or to force drivers to stop. They could then overpower the driver and steal the car.
"I think people ought to know about this ruse. It could cost them heavily."
