WORKERS at the Burnley Remploy factory have "adopted" a football team.
For the past few weeks the Monday morning topic of conversation has been: "How did our football team do at the weekend?"
Remploy press officer Tina Dunn said: "Not only does Remploy Burnley sponsor the Ighten Leigh Football Club under 10s team, two of the three coaches Graham Bullock and Mark Cobham are Remploy employees. "It is the team's first season together and to date they have won two games, lost seven and drawn two."
After Sunday's match the team was taken to McDonalds restaurant for a Christmas treat. They are also to receive a chocolate selection box each. Tina added: "In the New Year there will be a presentation to the best up and coming player and the best overall player."
