DETECTIVES are quizzing five people in connection with an incident being investigated by three police forces.
The five people, who have not been identified, are believed to be in custody in Accrington and Blackburn police stations as part of an on-going operation involving West Midlands, West Yorkshire and Lancashire Police.
The nature of the operation remains unclear and police would only confirm it involved a serious offence.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "There is an on-going operation involving West Midlands, West Yorkshire and Lancashire Police.
"Five people are in custody and are being questioned."
