LOCK 'n' Load Comedy Club has secured another top TV comic to take the headline slot at its next gig.

Organisers have booked Robin Ince for the February show, further confirming the club's rising star status on the comedy circuit.

Resident compere Martin Cassidy said: "The word is getting out. I'm out on the North West comedy circuit week in and week out and Lock 'n' Load's reputation is growing rapidly among both comics and audiences.

"Robin's appearance at the February gig is further evidence of this. He is an excellent performer, very intelligent, very sharp and will go down a storm with the crowd."

Robin has a prolific list of television credits and is described as "a brilliant comic with a genius for improvisation" by Time Out magazine.

He was a regular on Channel 4's 11 o'clock Show and is currently developing a comedy show for MTV.

Along with Robin there will be another four comedy support acts at the February 7 gig at the Wharf Pub, Eanam Wharf, Blackburn.

Entry is £3 on the door with the laughs starting around 8pm.
