BEDFORD High School, Leigh, is preparing to throw open its doors to more than 100 invited guests to share in the official opening of the school's new science building and community conference resource centre, the latest in a string of state-of-the-art developments at the school.
Headteacher, Steve Preston, was due to lead the vote of thanks at the Manchester Road school today.
The new innovations are expected to be the forerunner to the school applying for Specialist College status, as a Business and Enterprise college, in March.
