PRESTON Harrier Helen Pattinson qualified for the World Cross Country Championships after taking second place behind Liz Yelling at the Inter Counties on Saturday.
At the same event four local girls made their mark in the junior races by achieving top 50 finishes. Chorley Harriers pair Joanne Gill and Katie Ingram were respectively 50th in the under 20's and 27th under 17, while Pendle's Laura Finucane was 46th under 17.
Danielle Walker of Burnley finished 24th under 13.
