NELSON have the provider - they just need the scorer as they look to have a good end of season run in.

Micky Bartholomew, signed from Stand, is having no problem setting the goals up but it is someone to tuck them away that manager John Bailey needs.

In last week's NWCL Division Two loss at second placed Formby, Bartholomew sent Mick Molyneux through twice where he was one on one with the keeper and he set Stuart Mulligan up six yards out.

But none of the chances were converted and then Nelson's Dave Channon saw red for a second bookable offence and the Blues lost out.

"It was a mad ten minutes once we went down to ten men and we conceded two goals.

"This was after we had matched them for 70 minutes and should have been in front," said Bailey.

"We got one back at the end through Bartholomew and I think we have got to take heart from this performance.

"We just need to get in front in a game to put us in the driving seat.

"We always seem to give a goal away and then be chasing the game."

Bailey will be looking to make this early break through when he takes his Nelson side to league newcomers Norton United tomorrow.

Mick Charlton returns after missing last week's Formby clash.
