CHORLEY Lynx return to league action this weekend when they travel to Spotland to take on championship-chasing Rochdale Hornets.

Last weekend Lynx bowed out of the Challenge Cup against French league leaders UTC despite putting up a creditable performance, but coach Graeme West was left to ponder on individual errors which again cost Lynx the match.

He will be looking for the attacking flair which brought five tries against Hull KR in the last league game, new loan signing Nick Fozzard from Warrington could make his debut while club captain Ian Talbot, Bryce Killock and Matt Bellamy could all come into contention after missing out last week. One major doubt is prop forward Andy Grundy who left the field with a twisted knee but he is expected to be fit.

Two weeks ago Rochdale were unbeaten in all competitions, but they then suffered a shock 25-20 defeat at Dewsbury and last weekend they also bowed out of the cup after losing to Leigh at Spotland.

They have injury problems with flying wingman Marlon Billy almost certain to miss the game with a knee injury and centre Brendan O'Meare also struggling with a shoulder problem. Their coach Martin Hall may rest half back Richard Agar with Danny Wood his likely replacement although Dave Watson could come into consideration with Casey Mayberry replacing Marlon Billy. Lynx will have to watch ex-Wigan and St Helens prop forward Paul Davidson and hooker Richard Pachniuk, generally regarded as the best in the league.

LYNX WILL SELECT FROM: Ramsdale, Redicliffe, Kilgannon, Smith, Wilcock, Jones, Duffy, Street, Roden, Parry, Prescott, Harrison, Bloor, Patel, Causey, Grundy, Stuart, Fozzard, Talbot, Killock, Bellamy.
