BURNLEY sisters Danielle and Alexis Walker have been selected to run for Lancashire Schools in the English Schools Cross Country Championship at Chelmsford next month.
Danielle missed the Lancashire Schools Championship with illness but gets the selector's nod after winning the Northern Championship. With the first five in the trial at Blackburn gaining automatic selection, the sixth and seventh finishers Carley Thompson of Blackburn, and Alexis Walker complete the junior girls team.
For the intermediate and senior teams, the top eight at Blackburn are chosen.
