CURTIS Pearce of Blackburn Harriers won the boys under 13 race at the Horwich Harriers Open Cross Country Meeting on Saturday.
Grant Cunliffe finished second to lead Rossendale to the team title. Dale's Sam Dew picked up second place in the under 11 race, but the club couldn't muster a team in this one.
Hyndburn, on the other hand, won three team medals at the Bob's Brew venue with the under 11 girls taking silver and the under 11 boys and under 15 girls each striking bronze. Under 11 Matthew Gough won the individual bronze.
For Park High School AC, seven-year-old Melissa Berry was 11th under nine on her race debut.
