BURY Sports Advisory Council are looking to encourage local sports clubs and organisations to mount special events over the Queen's Golden Jubilee weekend, June 1 to 4.
The aim is to raise awareness of the wide range of sporting activities available in the area and to encourage increased participation by all age and ability groups.
In order to co-ordinate publicity and assess the needs of clubs that might require financial assistance to mount these special events a meeting will be held in the clubroom of the Castle Leisure Centre on Wednesday, February 27 at 7.30pm.
Representatives of all clubs, leagues and organisations interested in this project are invited to attend.
