AN internationally acclaimed theatre company will be visiting Rossendale later this month with a production called Funnybones.

Snap's production is a classic children's tale based on two skeletons called Big and Little, who live in a dark cellar with their dog, Dog.

But things soon take a disastrous turn for the pair, when the pair find that Dog has gone missing!

Big and Little become worried and go in search of the misplaced canine, but Dog is busy following his nose on an adventure in search of the black cat.

Elise Davison, Justyn Towler and Ian Black perform the production which includes original songs, slapstick, puppetry and plenty of fun.

The performance will be held at the Horse and Bamboo Centre, Bacup Road, Waterfoot, on March 22 at 7pm with doors open at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £3 adults and £2 for children and can be purchased during office hours from the Horse and Bamboo Box Office on 01706 220241.

The production is aimed a young people aged five to 11 and their families, and will run for approximately 90 minutes.

Funnybones marks the start of a new programme of events to be staged at the Horse and Bamboo Centre, incorporating family participation in visual and creative arts.

It is hoped that future productions will be brought to the Centre to appeal to families in, and around, Rossendale.
