THE mealy-mouthed hypocrisy of the many trendy Green is wonderfully demonstrated by Barry Bell's response to my recent letter.

First he writes to the paper describing myself and former councillor, Richard Newman-Thompson as 'gruesome'.

He did this because both of us had drawn attention to the fact that two prominent Greens, John Whitelegg and Cllr Jon Sear had directly contradicted each other about a ,matter of fact.

We had asked for an explanation but none was forthcoming.

Instead Mr Bell launched a series of insults.

I replied by pointing out that Mr Bell had written letters to you in successive weeks, advocating a sort of privatisation in the first and slating the Labour Government for privatisation in the second.

I replied and referred to hi as ' Daft Dinger' apparently a heinous crime...

so hurtful he now refuses to continue the debate!

He is a good judge because I can think of nothing more 'irrational ' or 'rambling' than Mr Bell's privatisation argument(s).

He also calls me vitriolic...

I plead guilty.

I will argue my case in reasonable terms with anyone but sling insults at me mate and you'llget some back...

with plenty of interest.
