HOW can animals possibly "get in the way" at a talk about Blackpool Zoo? Where is the logic to this?

Surely animals are central to any discussion about Blackpool Zoo. Why isn't animal welfare at the top of the agenda?

Is it only big business and profit that is motivating Blackpool Council?

It makes me angry to think that people with the power to make decisions don't care enough to use that power wisely. Well done to the lone councillor who spoke out for the animals.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that her comments about animal welfare weren't considered relevant. This speaks volumes about the attitudes of people running Blackpool Zoo. Please stay involved in the debate -- the animals need someone who cares about them.
