MR Bob Landon's effort at providing roof garden for his four-year-old daughter, Millie, who suffers from cerebral palsy, apparently contravenes planning regulations (LET, March 29). Surely, each case should be considered on its merits and not be covered by a blanket ruling.
Perhaps a compromise would be for permission to be granted for a limited period, with a review later.
