A BURY chef died after he fell down stairs and suffered a fractured neck just 24 hours before his birthday.
Jason Mark Craig (31) was found by flatmates at the foot of the stairwell at his home in Palace Street at 8.30am on Saturday (April 6).
Bury CID opened an investigation into Mr Craig's death. No evidence of foul play was discovered. A post-mortem examination was held yesterday (Mon April 8).
The coroner has been informed and an inquest is due to take place later in the week.
