BOLTON and Bury will be reaping the benefits of a new service to help jobless people and provide benefit advice.
Jobcentres nationwide are to be revamped to equip them to deliver the Jobcentre Plus service, which places work at the forefront of customer service.
Every person who can work, will have a one-to-one work-focused interview as a condition of receiving benefit.
Terry Moran, Field Director for the North West did warn that change will not happen overnight and the public should continue to use local Jobcentres and social security offices until Jobcentre Plus arrives in Bolton and Bury during the next few years.
