THERE is still time to enter for Counsel and Care's oldest active amateur actor, actress or stage performer competition.

Counsel and Care for the Elderly is anxious to hear from older people who are enthusiastic performers. At its annual meeting in May, this national charity launches a campaign to encourage older people to continue treading the boards, or even to take it up for the first time.

The top three entries receive Oldest Active Performer Awards, presented to them by singing star Edmund Hockridge in the presence of The Duchess of Gloucester.

Please write to me about your performing, describing the pleasure it gives and the difference it makes to your life and, of course, giving your age. It would also help if you could enclose a copy of the programme of a performance in which you recently appeared, or a newspaper clipping reviewing it.
