POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fire was started deliberately at the Bowling Green Pavilion, Palatine Avenue, Lancaster.
Lighted paper and cigarettes were put through a flue, which was destroyed by fire, causing an estimated £3,000 of damage to the council owned building.
The incident took place at 6.50pm on Wednesday, April 3 and anyone with any information is asked to contact Lancaster Police on 01524 63333 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
