HOSPITAL bus services are being altered involving Leigh and Wigan infirmaries.
The present service is being changed to operate only between Leigh bus station and Wigan bus station via Tamar, Hindley and Ince.
All journeys will be numbered 652. However, passengers to and from Leigh Infirmary will be able to buy a ticket on the 652 to allow them to continue their journey from Leigh bus station to the hospital on bus services 651 and 654.
Following concerns raised by transport authority members, GMPTE has stepped in to temporarily find a new shuttle bus service, numbered 952 between Wigan bus station and Wigan Infirmary. This will be operated by South Lancs Travel.
Passengers to and from Wiagn Infirmary will also be able to buy a ticket on the 652 which will allow them to continue their journey from Wigan Bus Station on the 952.
