NEIL Turley misses his third successive game as Leigh Centurions head off to Whitehaven on Sunday looking for the victory that will virtually put them through to the knockout stages of the Buddies National League Cup.

The ankle injury to Leigh's top try scorer is improving but coach Paul Terzis won't gamble on Turley's fitness.

"Neil will be back when he's 100 per cent, not before. There's no rush," says Terzis.

But Leigh are likely to have John Hamilton and Paul Rowley back in the squad after missing last Sunday's win over Workington. Hamilton had a bruised tendon while Rowley went down with 'flu.

Bruised thigh

Another player who won't make the trip to the Recreation Ground is back rower Chris Morley who has a bruised thigh. Ian Hodson and Anthony Blackwood are likely to retain their places in the squad.

After two good attacking performances in which Leigh have rattled up 110 points, Terzis is looking for more of the same at Whitehaven.

"Now the grounds are firmer, we'll be looking to move the ball about even more than we normally do. That may lead to a few mistakes but it will be interesting to see how others teams cope with us," he says.

"One more win should see us into the quarter-finals," adds Terzis. "We aim to book our place on Sunday."

Corporate packages are offer at Hilton Park tomorrow week when fans will be able to mingle with their heroes of 81-82.

The majorioty of Leigh's double winning squad will be back to mark the 20th anniversary of winning the Division One title and Lancashire Cup.
