THE proposed closures of homes for the elderly, makes one weep. The government bailed out the white elephant Millennium Dome for years with taxpayers' money, it also gave handouts to the railways and other industries.
Yet they seem to stand by while the former life's blood of the country are uprooted and taken away from what they consider their home and friends in the twilight of their lives.
The Government have their priorities in handing out relief funds, but I often wonder if they get them in the correct order.
