The Silver Stars Talent Contest is back and it's time for glitzy grans and gyrating grandads to dust off their dancing shoes, warm up their vocals and take centre stage.
Blackpool Tower is hosting area heats for the nationwide event this year in association with Yours Magazine, Blackpool Tourism and Age Concern.
The search for the Fylde coast's grand pop-idol will take place in the Hornpipe Galley on April 17 and 24 and May 1 between 2pm-4pm, with the area final on May 15.
The Silver Stars Talent Contest -- which was established in 1952 -- is looking for non-professional artistes from magicians and comedians to vocalists and dancers.
The winner of the May 15 heat will go on to represent the area in the North West final on May 29 at Southport's Floral Hall and have the opportunity of qualifying for the national final on July 24 and a chance to win £1000.
