A GOLDEN goal handed Teenage Gang Stars FC the annual Spotlight on Sport Greater Deepdale under 12s cup.
The competition was held at Westview Leisure Centre in Preston where 10 teams in the under 12s and under 16s sections turned out. In the under 16s section OBC Deluxe were too much for Fishwick.
After trailing 1-0 Fishwick battled back well to equalise but then a lapse in concentration allowed OBC to regain the lead within munutes of the kick-off.
In a strange twist of fate both sides had played their B teams in the semi-finals.
The man of the match for both finals turned out to be the keeper, Sohail Patel of Fishwick was voted man of the match in the under 12s section and Richard of OBC Deluxe was awarded the accolade in the under 16s section.
