AN inquest into a mental health patient whose body was found with multiple knife wounds has been opened and adjourned.
Mark Smale was found lying in a pool of blood with a large knife nearby, at his sheltered flat, in Richmond Avenue, Accrington, in March.
Coroner Michael Singleton adjourned the inquest until May 29 while police gather further information.
The inquest will be held at Hyndburn.
