TEN wins on their travels matches the number of Burnley triumphs at home this season.

If they can make it number 11 by the ocean, the play-off dream may become a reality.

There are a number of reasons for the Clarets to be confident ahead of the trip to Grimsby, not least the form of loan striker David Johnson.

It has taken him just six games in a Burnley shirt to match the goals total during his troubled time at Nottingham Forest.

His strike last weekend was his fifth for the Clarets, he is hoping to make it six tomorrow and the omens are good.

The sharp-shooter netted his first goal for Forest against the Mariners last season and he will be keen to follow up with another strike to help maintain the Clarets promotion push.

There are other reasons for travelling fans to be confident of success tomorrow afternoon.

While the Clarets have struggled against the top three sides this season, not taking a single point against Man City, West Brom or Wolves, they have a good record against the bottom four. They remain unbeaten against the division's strugglers, a run that includes a 1-0 defeat of the Mariners on a Friday night in November.

The match could not be more important for either team for their differing reasons and the need for both to take three points should guarantee an open game.

The atmosphere is certain to be electric as the Clarets have sold out their 2,300 allocation and the home section is also going to be full.

So the fans will have a key role to play with home boss Paul Groves saying: "Come here, be noisy, get behind us. Hopefully we'll give you a day to enjoy, and everyone goes home happy."

Noise is something the Clarets travelling fans have made all season, just one factor in their impressive away record.

There will be no lack of passion off the pitch as the Burnley fans roar on their side and the players will have to produce the same on it if they are to inflict more misery on the Mariners.
