A LOCAL theatre company is hitting the road to take its popular plays to audiences across the North West.

C'est Tous, based at Worden Park, Leyland, has teamed up with Manchester-based promotion company Encore, to help them take their unique brand of Shakespeare to fans in Manchester, Liverpool and Blackburn.

The theatre company has been based at their picturesque headquarters at the Marsden Theatre for 13 years where they perform numerous productions in a converted barn on Leyland's leafy Worden Park.

Actress Christine Appleby, co-founder of C'est Tous, said: "When we were doing Macbeth last year, Encore from Manchester, who promote theatre companies, were looking for a group to tour with Shakespeare.

"They saw several companies and when they saw ours they loved it."

C'est Tous will be touring two of Shakespeare's most famous plays, the comedy Twelfth Night and timeless romance Romeo and Juliet.

C'est Tous fans will recognise some of the group's most talented youngsters in their new roles as members of the touring company.

Emma Kadri-Boardman, 23, has been with the group since she was 12 years old, and is now taking the manager's position with the touring branch. And young professionals Andrea Fisher and Chris Clegg have both performed with C'est Tous youth group.

C'est Tous will be touring from September 23 to December 12. For information ring the company on 431300.
