POLICE are urging Blackpool residents to keep to main streets and avoid taking short cuts via alleyways, particularly when walking alone.
A police spokesman said there had been a number of recent incidents in which lone walkers had been attacked.
A 47-year-old man was approached by two men from behind as he walked down a back street off Clifford Road, Blackpool, between 2pm and 2.30pm on Saturday (0April 6).
He was pushed to the ground and robbed of £30.
