FIRE crews were called out twice last week to arson attacks on garages in Blackpool.
A call was made to a garage at 4 Bennett Avenue at just before 12.30am and then one at 21 Leeds Road at 12.55am on April 5.
Both fires caused considerable damage. After further investigation by both the fire service and the police, a male was arrested and was being questioned.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Deliberate fires and hoax calls are a serious drain on the fire service resources and can delay us from attending more serious incidents."
