TARIQ Hussain and Asif Khan both from Blackburn attended the last National Pool Lifeguard course held at Daislyfield swimming pools.
Both men worked extremely hard and attended pre-course instruction to meet the standard required to be successful and pass the qualification.
Throughout the course they learnt among other skills, Aquatic rescue skills, resusitation of adults and the use of specialist poolside equipment.
This qualification will now enable both of them to apply for employment with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council at one of their five swimming pools.
