I WAS very disappointed by the vast amount of space given to the funeral of the Queen Mother.
Isn't it the duty of every newspaper to give a more balanced view?
There are millions of people in this country who find every member of the Royal family a long suffering burden on the taxpayer and that included the Queen Mum.
What right have TV producers and newspaper editors to say what everyone thinks? Many of us have views which are very seldom raised.
The amount of bootlicking by newsreaders and columnists was sickening.
So far as the Lancashire Evening Telegraph is concerned it would be better keeping its readers informed of news in the area and leave the grovelling to the daily papers.
Any more Royal events could be covered by a supplement which could be thrown in the wheelie bin where it belongs.
