A last minute goal by Arron Hutchinson gave Fulledge a thrilling victory against the comeback kids of Akzo Nobel.

Akzo appeared to be down and out after conceding two early goals but the Darwen side fought back strongly after the break to get back on level terms.

And Akzo appeared to be the stronger of the sides as extra time beckoned until one final lung busting run by Jordan Darwin set up Hutchinson with the simplest of winners.

In the end, it was a game neither side deserved to lose with both teams playing attractive, free flowing football.

Fulledge took an early lead when Jack Eastwood's delightful through ball split the Akzo defence. Keeper Ryan Fay came and missed the ball and Matthew Barrett kept his cool to score from the angle.

And it was soon 2-0 for after Andrew Smith forced a corner, defender Louis Wilmot trotted up from the back and volleyed a loose ball home.

It was all Fulledge at this stage and Ryan Steel hooked the ball off his own line after the ball crashed against the bar.

Slowly Akzo got back in to the final and Jamie Alderson-Perkins forced a great save out of Sean Davies after a flowing move involving Ashley Higgins and Josh Eastwood. The energetic Steel went close with one effort that landed on the roof of the net before Ben Ribello fired straight at the keeper from the edge of the box.

But Akzo did get a foothold back in the final when Liam Greenhalgh header home from the corner. The talented left back then headed over from another Ribello corner.

Akzo pushed forward looking for the equaliser and Steel forced Davies in to another good save.

But they were soon on level terms when Eastwood skipped around his marker and whipped in a superb cross that Ribello rose majestically to head home. Now it seemed that Akzo would go on and win it but the pulsating final had one last twist and with the last attack of the match, Darwin skipped around the challenge of Phil Brookes to cross for Hutchinson to tap home.

It was great end to a great match.
