LIVERPOOL will ask the Premier League if their clash with Rovers can be played on the same night that Manchester United take on Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The Reds are scheduled to meet Graeme Souness' side on Sunday May 5, three days before the crucial clash between United and Arsenal.
But they will ask the Premier League for both matches to be played on the same night - Wednesday May 8.
They are concerned that United and Arsenal will play their potentially decisive encounter already knowing how Liverpool have performed in their penultimate match of the season.
A decision from the Premier League is due shortly.
