A LARGE development in Foulridge which will create a dining room, conservatory, L shaped gymnasium and four-bay garage, has been accepted by councillors.
The plans for the extensions, which will cover a floor space of 272.38 square metres, were deferred at the March Colne and District Committee to allow members to visit the site at Cliff Meadow, in Skipton Road.
Council planners kad recommended the development for approval, stating that the proposals were acceptable in policy terms and the plans provided sufficient space between the extension and protected trees. After visiting the site, councillors went with their advice.
There is already a two-storey detached house in its own extensive grounds, off a private drive from Skipton Road, in Green Belt area.
It has an existing conservatory and a detached wooden double garage, which will be removed, a single porch extension and open sided storage building.
