A MAN has died from wounds believed to have been caused by stabbing, after an attack on Sunday, April 14.
Six people were arrested after 42-year-old Cedric Grant was found unconscious in Avenham Lane, at around 3.40pm.
Grant, from the Avenham area of Preston, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment, and died in the early hours of Tuesday morning, April 16.
Preston police have set up an incident room, and will continue investigations today.
DI Tony Bolton of Preston police said: "The motive for the attack is not known. We are appealing for calm in the Avenham area."
