PUPILS at Westholme School in Blackburn have plunged into a major fund-raising drive to finance a new swimming pool complex -- and have so far collected more than £15,000.
All students at the school have taken part in a sponsored swim, from three-year-olds wearing buoyancy aids to senior students who are building up to a cross-Channel swim.
The swim originally sparked safety fears when it was revealed practices would take place in a reservoir.
But the school pledged all precautions were being taken.
