NEWTON Westpark Primary School recently started a scheme to help those less fortunate youngsters in countries such as Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Albania, Kosovo, Turkey and Belarus.

With the help of The Rotary Shoe Box Company, the school launched a scheme, where children help children.

Pupils filled boxes with either toys, food, or household goods.

Since 1994, tens of thousands of boxes have been sent and those pictured will be distributed during the Easter break.
