ROVERS boss Graeme Soness was pleased with three points.
He said: "It wasn't a classic but obviously the points are greatly welcome.
"On the balance of play, I thought we did deserve to win. We had the chances and, fortunately, we took them but it was by no means a classic.
"I think it's a result that's been waiting to happen.
"I don't think we focused enough on today's game and our performance was poor as a result.
"But there's no excuses. We simply didn't perform to the level which has got us up to ninth in the table and into an FA Cup semi-final.
"We were well below those standards and Blackburn deserved to win.
"I honestly don't know what it was and I don't like to make excuses.
"I know people will say they were fighting for their lives but we also have a great determination to make sure we finish the season well but, if we keep performing like that, then we won't.
"I can't knock the players, though, because it's a long time since we had a performance like that. In football every team has an off-day and we had one of those days. It was a bad day at the office."

"I prefer to go off what I see and what I saw was not a performance we've been getting here week in, week out.
