NEW Great Harwood boss John Hughes is having a good look at his players as he starts putting plans together for next season.

It looks almost certain that bottom club Harwood will be playing NWCL Division Two football next season but Hughes is already planning ahead.

"I know a couple of players who I want and those that are here will have to show a will to win and get fit if they want to stay here.

"I am a winner and we should have won on Saturday. We had enough chances but at least we are scoring.

"We have got seven goals in our last four games and now we have got to try to not concede."

Shaun Bursnell set up Steve Pickup for the opener in the 14th minute but Steve Sutcliffe equalised on 21 minutes after a lack of concentration.

"They only had one chance in each half but Paul Walker and Graeme Lightbown both went close and their keeper was tremendous," said Hughes.

"But saying that they could have grabbed it at the end when Alan Dawson pulled off a superb save."

Harwood play their penultimate game of the season when they welcome Flixton to the Showground tonight.
