WHILE we would all like to agree we have a country to be proud of, this belief is somewhat dented, by rulings from Brussels, and a lap dog mentality shown blindly following every move made by our American Allies.
The Great Britain we knew is being eroded by decisions and tactics that at times beggar belief.
Nearer to home, take the rail situation, with a network is near chaos, trains running late, if at all running red lights, disputes, repairs overdue and strike action, somehow the managers (call them fat cats if you must) still collect large salaries and bonuses whilst this downward spiral continues.
This is not the stuff on which our great island was built, more like a crumbling giant.
