GUIDE leader Sarah-Jane Hawthorn is still seeking sponsors for her summer trip to Iceland for an international Jamboree camp.
Sarah-Jane, 18, of Powell Street, Darwen, needs to raise £1,075 for the trip and has already collected between £300 and £400 by organising table-top sales and selling cash-and-carry store sweets to Guides in her unit, the 8th Darwen St James.
The Blackburn College student will meet Guides and scouts from many other countries during the July Jamboree, when Iceland will be experiencing almost 24 hours of daylight.
Sarah-Jane is already a gold Duke of Edinburgh Award winner and anyone who would like to sponsor her should contact Pamela Rigby at Blackburn College on 01254 292923.
