A GARDEN shed and an adjoining garage were destroyed after a suspected arson attack in Radcliffe.

Firefighters spent two and a half hours tackling the blaze which also spread to the roof space of a nearby house in Outwood Road.

Officers said the fire started in the garden shed which was gutted along with its contents.

The flames also took hold of the garage which was also extensively damaged.

And the fire went into the main roof space of the house, causing the property to be smoke logged.

Crews from Whitefield and Farnworth were involved in tackling the blaze which broke out late on Thursday afternoon (April 25).
