I SEE County Councillor Wendy Dwyer has officially welcomed the bus operators Lancashire United to Hyndburn's Quality Bus Partnership (LET, April 20).
Our service to the Forts Arms in Clayton-le-Moors has not improved. There is no early morning service, no evening service and no Sunday service.
Before handing out more accolades, I suggest that Hyndburn county councillors, along with the local councillors, take a look at the 700-name petition that was sent to the county council in October 2001 and campaign for the residents of the Oakenshaw area to have a decent bus service.
Then, we can all express our delight.
