A MAN is still seeking sponsors as he prepares to embark on a 10k road race for a charity set up in memory of his nephew who died during a gym workout.
Brian Taylor, 52, of the Garden Village, Darwen, is participating in the Blackpool Road Race next Sunday and hopes to raise cash to help Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
The parents of Neil Wickers set up CRY in 1997 with the mother and father of David Staff -- another man who died of an undetected heart defect.
CRY aims to raise awareness of such conditions, to support medical research into Sudden Death Syndrome, and to counsel and support other affected families.
Brian would like to hear from anyone who would like to sponsor him. The number is 01254 707895.
