A BLIND woman suffered serious injuries in an accident with an articulated lorry.
Police said Jean Valerie Pickles, 60, of Keighley Road, Colne, sustained cuts to the head and a fractured breastbone in a collision with a lorry in Spring Lane at 1.10pm yesterday.
She was being treated at Burnley General Hospital, where her injuries were said not to be life-threatening.
The driver, from Winsford, Cheshire, was treated at the scene for severe shock.
