I AM writing on behalf of the Tuesday Afternoon Social Club at Mill Hill Community Centre in Blackburn to express our feelings regarding the article by Eric Leaver, about our "trips" to Preston (LET, May 29).
We are a group of ladies and gentlemen who enjoy each other's company and look forward to our afternoons out, as we do not all possess our own transport. We do not always spend money on shopping, but we enjoy our outings very much.
We do most of our "big shop" in Blackburn, but it is good to have a change of market, shops etc!!
Also regarding the staff at the centre, they are all the kindest and most helpful people that you could meet. If we have any queries or problems they are always there to help us.
