Several hundred spectators were attracted to one of the car parks at Blackburn Rovers' stadium to watch.

They saw five different classes of races in an afternoon of high-speed entertainment. Some of the local riders even managed to knock the Americans out of first place in several races.

Ross Walker, of the Rockets Aprilia Centre, in Livesey Branch Road, Blackburn, which organised the event, said: "We set up a big track and everyone had a lot of fun."
