THE owners of an award-winning takeaway handed over a £500 donation to a local charity in a specially-designed pizza.
Brothers Ishrat Mehdi and Yassar Ali of Santa's Pizza gave the money to neighbours at Pendleside Hospice in Colne Road. The family business donated the money in appreciation of the hard work and services provided by hospice staff and volunteers after being named runners-up in the National Pizza Delivery Takeaway Operator of the Year.
They established the takeaway more than 10 years ago with outlets on Colne Road, Burnley, and Leeds Road, Nelson.
