PUPILS at a Thornton school will be proud to fly the flag -- after a special presentation by the Royal British Legion.
Olive Driver, of the Thornton Cleveleys branch of the war veterans' charity, presented Millfield School with its very own Union Jack after the school received a gift of flag poles, but had no Union Jack to fly.
Alan Harvey, head teacher of the Belvedere Road school, said the school was very proud of the flag, which was accompanied by a standard bearer at the presentation. "It all went very well and we were delighted to receive this gift from the local British Legion group," he said, adding that the flag has already been flown twice since it arrived.
